Supporters, Members and Friends of the Markus of Americus Project are helping to develop a voluntary Code of Conduct (Social Compact) to allow for maximum expression while creating a set of standards or norms for Individual conduct in 21stCentury America.

As a voluntary practitioner of these rules, you should be able to fully and enthusiastically support candidates, referendum and issues while working within a framework to facilitate a more civil and active citizenry. Through the Code’s principles, adherents and those striving to follow the code will find the guidance they need.

The Code is based on the following principles.

• I am responsible for my Own political education. 
• I understand that an accurate representation of Fact versus Opinion is vital for true Free Speech.
• I understand there are Limited venues for political pugilism.
• I understand, it is my right to Publicly and Respectfully criticize any level or branch of government.    
•  I understand everyone is entitled to Grace and Courtesy. 
• I avoid those who strive for the “Biggest Slice” of a shrinking pie.
• I understand, it is HIGHLY Detrimental for the Republic to have a Citizenry whose major civic focus is on the politics of winning and losing rather than in search of a MORE perfect union.

• Don’t blow up other members’ feeds. If someone isn’t responding to you, let it be

• Keep out behavior that could be seen as trolling/spamming
